Welcome to the Wilson-O'Brien Web Site. My name is Steve Strautz; I joined Wilson-O'Brien in December of 2002 as a sales agent and part owner of the agency. My wife Sue, who teaches Kindergarten in the Marshall Public Schools, and our three children have lived in Marshall since the fall of 1989. Watching Marshall grow and develop brought about this opportunity of ownership and a career change.
The change has been very exciting, I bring 27 years of management-level experience in lending, sales and strategic planning from the financial services industry, particularly in commercial banking. I have a bachelor's degree in business administration and have completed two graduate level courses through the American Bankers Association. Professional Licenses that I have or have held include Minnesota Real Estate Sales, NASD Securities Series 6/63 and Life and Health Insurance. I currently am a member of the West Central Realtors Association, Minnesota Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Likewise, I have a strong belief in community involvement and have served on a number of boards and organizations throughout my time in Marshall and the other communities in which my family has resided. Currently I am Vice President of the Marshall Industries Foundation, Board member of the Marshall Area Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer of the Pride in the Tiger Foundation (Marshall Community Public/Private Schools). I have been a past member of the Weiner Memorial Medical Center Board, Marshall United Way Board and Past President of the SMSU Booster Club. Presently, I have been involved with numerous youth sports activities/booster groups.
